BELSIL DM 1000000 is a linear, non-reactive, unmodified polydimethylsiloxane characterized by low surface tension and high spreading coefficient. It has a viscosity of 1000000 mm2/s and is a dimethicone. BELSIL DM 1000000 has high permeability to gases like oxygen which allows skin respiration. Due to its flexible polymer backbone and permeability, BELSIL DM 1000000 is widely used in formulations where it provides a hydrophobic, protective barrier for the skin, imparting softness and emolliency. It improves the water resistance of various products and prevents stickiness in formulations. BELSIL DM 1000000 enhances shine and improves wet and dry combability when used in hair care products.
