Free flowing lustrous gold powder. Platelets of mica coated with titanium dioxide, iron oxide, a small amount of stannic oxide, and chromium hydroxide. Lustrous yellow to match standard. Mearlin® Exterior effect pigments produce mica pearl finishes of unusual beauty for automotive and industrial coatings and other applications that require long-term weatherability. These pigments permit paint formulators to control the texture of coating in both water- and solventborne systems. They also make it possible to create light shades with high-color purity and excellent coverage.
