ASP 172

ASP 172 is a kaolin product from BASF featuring a very fine particle size of 0.4 microns, providing premium brightness of 90%. It has been specially modified with dispersants for ease of dispersion and is chemically inert. ASP 172 is designed for applications that require a fine TiO2 extender. Its small particle size makes it well suited for glossy and semi-gloss finishes where uniformity and smoothness are important. ASP 172 can deliver enhanced hiding, rub resistance and durability in coatings. Its high oil absorption also contributes to improved application properties.
