BELSIL DM 5

BELSIL DM 5 is a linear, non-reactive, unmodified polydimethylsiloxane characterized by low surface tension and high spreading coefficient. As a dimethicone, BELSIL DM 5 has a flexible polymer backbone providing high permeability to gases like water vapor and oxygen, allowing skin respiration. These properties make BELSIL DM 5 widely used in formulations where it imparts a hydrophobic, protective yet breathable barrier to distributed evenly on the skin, minimizing stickiness and reducing whitening while imparting soft emolliency.
