Synthetic ester based on saturated carboxylic acids. ESTISOL 237 is a strong polar solvent with a high flash point and a very low odour. The product shows considerably improved hydrolytic stability compared with di-methyl esters. ESTISOL 237 is used in the formulation of industrial cleaners, paint strippers, adhesive removers as well as a coalescing agents for use in water based paint formulations. ESTISOL 237 is an ideal replacement for polar solvents with hazard-labeling such as glycol ethers, glycol ether acetates, cyclic ketones and similar.
